Job Description:

In this role as an accounts payable clerk, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth and timely processing of vendor invoices, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the accounting team during a period of high workload. Job Responsibility:

Process vendor invoices efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company guidelines
Code and enter invoices into the Viewpoint Spectrum system for tracking and payment purposes
Perform regular check runs and maintain organized records of payments
Address vendor inquiries and resolve issues related to invoice status or payments
Collaborate with team members to streamline procedures and improve operational efficiency
Support colleagues by taking initiative on tasks and assisting where needed
Manage filing systems to keep financial documents well-organized and easily accessible
Handle ambiguity and adapt to evolving processes within the accounting department
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth communication and operations

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related role
Proficiency with invoice processing and coding, including handling vendor invoices
Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum or similar accounting systems
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting tasks
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving setting
Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members
