We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Biddeford, Maine. In this role, you will handle essential accounting tasks, focusing on data entry, electronic filing, and ensuring the accurate processing of invoices. This is a Contract position, offering the opportunity for long-term within the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Process and verify invoices and payments with precision and timeliness
Maintain electronic filing systems to ensure easy access and organization of financial records
Perform data entry tasks accurately using Banner software
Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team and management to address discrepancies and resolve issues
Utilize SharePoint to manage and share documents effectively
Communicate professionally via email to support departmental needs
Assist in maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures
Support the manager and team of four staff members in daily operations
Ensure all records are updated and securely stored according to organizational standards
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting roles
Proficiency in using Banner software and SharePoint
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy
Familiarity with electronic filing systems and document management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for email correspondence
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
Nice to have:
Knowledge of higher education accounting practices is a plus
