Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This part-time position is based in Dutton, Michigan, and involves working within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on managing accounts payable processes with accuracy and efficiency, requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency with data entry.

Job Responsibility:

Print, organize, and distribute invoices to ensure timely processing
Match invoices with packing slips and verify all details for consistency
Entering invoices into accounting software program
Process invoices tied to purchase orders for materials and ensure timely payment
Perform general data entry tasks and assist with other clerical duties as needed
Maintain well-organized accounts payable files to support audits and compliance requirements
Collaborate with various departments to address discrepancies and streamline workflows

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
accounting coursework is advantageous
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, preferably in a manufacturing setting
Familiarity with accounting software, with Job Boss experience being highly desirable
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time capacity
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
