We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Fife, Washington. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is skilled in managing high-volume financial transactions. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic logistics company while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of daily financial operations.
Job Responsibility:
Process a high volume of invoices and vendor payments with precision and efficiency
Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure proper documentation and accuracy
Monitor and manage billing, collections, and address discrepancies promptly
Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems regularly
Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams regarding payment statuses and related issues
Assist in month-end closing activities and generate financial reports as required
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in all financial transactions
Support the team by performing additional tasks related to accounts payable as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume setting
Proficiency in accounting software and systems
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy
Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members
Familiarity with invoice coding, check runs, and payment processing
Knowledge of financial recordkeeping and reconciliation processes
Nice to have:
Experience in the logistics industry is a plus but not required
