Job Description:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our finance team in Arlington, Virginia. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while maintaining compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will bring attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure smooth processing of accounts payable functions.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately perform daily financial processes and controls to ensure adherence to company policies
deliver prompt and detail-oriented customer service to internal stakeholders
organize, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other financial documents to maintain proper recordkeeping
assist the accounts payable and finance teams with administrative duties as needed
support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation
verify, record, and mail checks, including expedited handling when required
manage the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing
open, sort, and distribute incoming department mail on a daily basis
take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support departmental goals

Requirements:

Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs
demonstrated experience with account reconciliation and financial data entry
familiarity with accounting software such as Yardi and Entrata
strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
ability to process invoices efficiently and accurately
excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
previous experience in a similar role is preferred
ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
