Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in St. Charles, Missouri. In this contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with established policies. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic accounting team and contribute to essential financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

Process accounts payable transactions and intercompany receivables with precision and adherence to deadlines
Prepare and assist in generating financial reports and statements to support organizational needs
Reconcile credit card activities by matching transactions to monthly statements and resolving discrepancies
Update and maintain spreadsheets and accounting databases to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Conduct daily bank reconciliations, investigating and correcting variances promptly
Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing necessary documentation and entries
Collaborate with team members to research and resolve accounting issues or variances
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities

Requirements:

Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs
Experience with processing invoices and reconciling company credit card transactions
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks accurately
Familiarity with accounting software and spreadsheet tools
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations
Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferred
