Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in accounts payable and bring a keen eye for accuracy and organization. Job Responsibility:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding within the accounting system
Manage timely check runs and ensure all payments align with company policies
Reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records and identify discrepancies
Perform data entry with precision to support the accounts payable function
Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently
Utilize basic spreadsheet tools to track and organize financial data
Maintain compliance with legal and financial regulations in all payable processes
Support month-end closing activities by preparing accounts payable reports
Assist in improving accounts payable procedures to enhance workflow efficiency

Requirements:

At least one year of experience in accounts payable or a related field
A bachelor’s OR associate's degree is required
Strong skills in coding invoices, data entry, and invoice processing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic spreadsheet management
Familiarity with account reconciliation and financial record-keeping
Demonstrated ability to handle check runs and manage payment schedules
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Interest in pursuing a long-term career in accounts payable
