Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Danvers, Massachusetts. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while gaining long-term career growth. The ideal candidate will excel in managing invoices, accruals, and payment processes with accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

Process and review invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment
Perform check runs and manage payment schedules to meet financial deadlines
Handle accruals and reconcile accounts as part of the monthly accounting cycle
Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is properly recorded
Maintain organized records of transactions and vendor communications
Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
Support the implementation and improvement of accounts payable processes
Generate reports and provide analysis as required by management

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role
Strong understanding of check runs, accruals, and month-end close processes
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
High school diploma or equivalent
additional education in accounting is a plus
