Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is 100% onsite and offers a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining efficient financial operations, ensuring timely processing of invoices, and supporting overall accounts payable functions.

Job Responsibility:

Review invoices to verify documentation and approval prior to processing payments
Enter invoices into the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail
Handle check requests, ensuring all required approvals are obtained before payment
Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and courteously
Maintain and organize accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files
Provide assistance to the Controller as needed for various tasks and projects
Perform administrative duties, including filing, copying, and daily mail distribution
Communicate effectively with colleagues and management in a respectful and considerate manner
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations while using appropriate equipment

Requirements:

Previous experience in accounts payable or related entry-level finance roles
Proficiency in data entry and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with accounting software, preferably Epicor
Ability to process invoices and reconcile accounts accurately
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams
Knowledge of safety rules and ability to operate within compliance guidelines
