Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Clerk at Accra Marriott Hotel is responsible for managing financial records, maintaining compliance with policies, ensuring accuracy and security of cash handling, and supporting the team to achieve goals in a luxury environment.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain all financial files and records
record and analyze financial information
complete period-end closing procedures
audit cashier banks
maintain petty cash and contracts
report cash variances
act as liaison between property and banking institutions
ensure compliance with policies
assist auditors during internal and external audits
support team and respond to concerns of coworkers.

Requirements:

Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures
record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information
classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data
complete period-end closing procedures and reports
audit cashier banks
maintain, distribute, and record petty cash and cashier banks
document, maintain, communicate, and act upon all cash variances
act as liaison between property and banking institutions
follow company policies and maintain confidentiality
develop and maintain positive working relationships
move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing less than 10 pounds.
