Job Description:

Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract Accounts Payable Clerk position, you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in invoice processing, and maintaining the organization's fiscal integrity. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounts payable and a keen eye for detail.

Job Responsibility:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate coding and timely payments
Conduct account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
Execute check runs and manage electronic payment processing
Perform detailed data entry to update and maintain financial records
Handle invoice processing and resolve discrepancies promptly
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle for financial operations
Generate reports and provide insights using Microsoft Excel
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial transactions
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Requirements:

Associates of Arts or Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role
Proficiency in invoice processing and account reconciliation
Familiarity with software tools including QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills for collaboration with vendors and team members
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
