We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a well-established company in Jeffersontown, Kentucky. This Contract to permanent position involves handling financial operations, including processing invoices, maintaining records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and employees. The ideal candidate will bring precision and efficiency to the role, contributing to the smooth functioning of the organization’s financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Review and verify invoices and requisitions to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies
Enter invoice data into the system for timely and accurate payment processing
Prepare and manage batches of invoices while maintaining detailed backup reports
Maintain and update vendor records, including account numbers and contact information
Ensure all accounts payable records are accurately reflected in the general ledger
Organize and maintain a secure filing system for financial documents to ensure confidentiality
Monitor inventory files and ensure accurate record-keeping
Assist in maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures
Generate periodic reports related to accounts payable activities and budgets
Address inquiries from vendors and internal staff regarding payments and account statuses
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role
Proficiency in using Excel, including formulas and data organization
Familiarity with maintaining general ledgers and vendor records
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Nice to have:
Experience with annual budgeting processes is a plus
