Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to join our client in Westerly, Rhode Island. This role is vital to ensuring accurate payroll processing and accounts payable management while adhering to compliance standards and organizational policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in an office environment that values accuracy and organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process employee payroll accurately and on time, including salary calculations, overtime, deductions, and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements
  • Maintain organized and accurate payroll records, reports, and documentation
  • Manage payroll software operations, including updates, data accuracy, and user training
  • Prepare and deliver payroll-related reports and financial statements for internal review
  • Verify, code, and process vendor invoices to ensure timely payments
  • Conduct weekly check runs and manage vendor relationships to resolve discrepancies and inquiries
  • Reconcile monthly credit card transactions, including accruals and verification of expenses
  • Perform periodic audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll and accounts payable records

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in accounts payable and payroll processes, with knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and D365 software is preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and vendors
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
