We are looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to support core accounting operations in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role will handle invoice and payment activities, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with recurring reporting and close processes. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of accounts payable procedures, and the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Review supporting documentation to validate transactions and ensure financial activity is recorded accurately
Enter, classify, and process vendor invoices in accounting systems with the correct coding and payment details
Manage incoming payments across approved channels, including checks and card-based transactions, and complete related reconciliations
Maintain organized financial records such as invoices, receipts, journal support, ledgers, and other accounting documentation
Monitor payable and receivable balances, identify discrepancies, and communicate unresolved items to the appropriate parties
Partner with vendors and suppliers to confirm billing accuracy, resolve payment questions, and support on-time settlement of accounts
Contribute to monthly and annual accounting activities by helping prepare reports, budget support materials, tax-related documentation, and audit schedules
Provide general administrative assistance and support additional accounting tasks as business needs require
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role
Hands-on experience with invoice processing, invoice coding, and check run activities
Working knowledge of accounts payable procedures, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping
Ability to use accounting software accurately for transaction entry and documentation management
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, missing information, and unmatched transactions
Effective communication skills for working with vendors, suppliers, and internal accounting teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
