Accounts Payable Administrator

• Manage accounts payable tasks, including setting up new vendors, entering invoices, and processing payments efficiently
• Oversee vendor communications and maintain positive relationships to ensure smooth purchasing operations
• Place purchase orders, verify pricing, and confirm acknowledgements against purchase orders
• Conduct regular coding of invoices and prepare check runs in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of invoice processing and payment activities
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist in maintaining updated pricing information for items and services
• Provide support in evaluating vendor performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure adherence to deadlines for payments and purchase order management
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function

• Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and coding
• Familiarity with check runs and managing vendor setups
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills for vendor and team collaboration
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred
• Proficiency with relevant accounting software and tools
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
