Job Description

Accounts Payable Administrator – Immediate Start (6-Month Contract). Our client is a large, well-established New Zealand organisation operating a nationwide network across asset-intensive and high-transaction environments. With significant invoice volumes and complex supplier and stock relationships, robust accounts payable processes are critical to the smooth running of the business. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join their finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract, based at a South Auckland head office. This role is an immediate start and will suit someone who can step in and contribute from day one. About the role This is a hands-on, business-as-usual AP role with responsibility for end-to-end invoice processing within a structured, high-volume environment. You’ll be working with established systems and processes and will be expected to manage workload confidently with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibility

  • End-to-end accounts payable processing
  • Three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and stock (essential)
  • Preparing payment runs and uploading files for bank approval
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and PO discrepancies with internal teams and suppliers
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier records
  • Supporting continuous improvement of AP processes
  • Participating in workplace health and safety initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven accounts payable experience in a medium to large organisation
  • Demonstrated experience with three-way matching (non-negotiable)
  • Experience using large ERP systems (e.g. D365, SAP, or similar)
  • Exposure to stock-based or asset-heavy environments highly regarded
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage large transaction volumes
  • Confident communicator who works well with both internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Available to start immediately and commit to a six-month fixed-term contract
