We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and payments. This position requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing assignments promptly.
Job Responsibility:
Process vendor invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper coding and documentation
Prepare and issue payments, including cutting checks and handling check runs
Reconcile activity postings to statements and maintain organized records
File invoices and other documents into vendor folders systematically
Handle client checks through e-capture, ensuring timely processing
Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues
Utilize software tools such as Excel, Outlook, and Deltek Ajera for efficient task management
Maintain a sense of urgency in completing tasks and prioritizing workload
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all activities
Requirements:
Minimum of six months of general accounting experience, with preference for accounts payable expertise
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Demonstrated ability to work diligently and meet deadlines consistently
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Experience with answering phones is required
Familiarity with Deltek Ajera or similar accounting software is a plus
Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data accurately
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors
