Job Description:

As one of the established organizations, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join their growing team, based in Artarmon 2064. This is a 3 months temporary (subject to extension/permanency). The successful candidate must have exposure in end-to-end accounting duties alongside working with backlogs. The role is ideally for a permanent headcount.

Job Responsibility:

Full-function accounts payable - supplier payments and statements
Full-function accounts receivable - managing invoices and outstanding ledgers
Managing and reconciling supplier accounts
Processing backlog invoices efficiently and accurately
Handling supplier queries and ensuring timely issue resolution
Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Month-end activities
Performing bank reconciliations
Preparing reports
Dealing with foreign exchange transactions
Working collaboratively within the finance team and liaising with internal stakeholders
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Any other reasonable duties that may be required

Requirements:

Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar role
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong Excel skills
Experience in dealing with backlogs is highly advantageous
Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
Experience with large ERP systems - SAGE software is highly preferred but not mandatory
