The Accounts Officer role manages the day‑to‑day operations of receivables, ensuring all invoices are accurate and issued promptly while following up on any delinquent accounts. This role also involves researching and determining credit authorization for new customers. As part of Income Audit responsibilities, the position checks figures, postings, and documents for accuracy; records and analyzes computerized financial information; and ensures proper control and security of cash and cash equivalents in line with cash‑handling policies. It also requires organizing and maintaining files in accordance with document retention and confidentiality standards, as well as auditing and reconciling all hotel revenue postings, including Rooms and Food & Beverage. The Accounts Payable function oversees daily workflow, ensuring timely payments, processing invoices, performing three‑way matching, updating vendor information, and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with other departments. Additionally, the role supports the accountant with monthly Hotel International Risk Self‑Assessment (ISRA) and self‑audit activities in alignment with compliance requirements. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Officer will be responsible for the day‑to‑day financial operations of the hotel.
Job Responsibility:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Perform daily income audits and revenue reconciliations
Prepare and post journal entries accurately
Complete credit card reconciliations
Manage supplier statements and resolve discrepancies or inquiries
Provide ad‑hoc support to the finance team as needed
Verify postings and documents for accuracy, proper coding, and completeness
Organize and maintain files, records, and cash equivalents in accordance with company policies and procedures
Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information
Summarize numerical and financial data using journals, ledgers, and financial systems
Complete period‑end closing activities and generate required reports
Perform periodic audits of cashier banks in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain, distribute, and record petty cash, cashier banks, and financial contracts
Document, communicate, and act on all cash variances following SOPs
Serve as the liaison between the property and the armored car service or primary banking institution
Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audits to ensure full compliance with SOPs
Research and determine credit authorization for new customers

Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting or similar role
Proficiency in hotel PMS/POS systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, SunSystems)
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Accurate and systematic data entry skills with ability to handle high volume of transactions
Well-developed written and spoken communicational skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills allowing to handle multiple priorities
Previous hotel experience preferred
Punctual and well-presented
Nice to have:
Hospitality/Hotel industry experience preferred but not required
