Job Description:

Join a growing business based in Alexandria, looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is a 'full-function' support position, ideal for someone who enjoys variety. With several projects on the horizon, there is a very strong possibility this role will extend or transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Processing high-volume invoices, matching POs, and preparing weekly payment runs
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Issuing invoices, performing credit checks, and conducting polite but effective debt collection
  • Reconciliations: Daily bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end balancing
  • Administration: Assisting with general finance administration work
  • Data Entry: Maintaining accuracy within the accounting system

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: At least 2+ years in a similar Accounts Assistant or Accounts Officer role
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Accounting Softwares and the ability to pick up new systems as well as intermediate Excel skills
  • Attitude: A down-to-earth, 'can-do' attitude
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Availability: You must be able to commit to the full 6-month duration and be available to start at short notice
  • Candidates must have unrestricted working rights as the role may convert to a permanent position
