Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an organised and pro-active individual to join the Finance department as Accounts Officer. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and detail-oriented, with a desire to develop their career. We are seeking an Accounts Officer to ensure accurate delivery of core transactional finance activities, maintaining the integrity of the purchase ledger, sales ledgers and cashbook within Sage 200. You will act as the primary Finance contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders, preparing payment runs, maintaining cashbook postings and completing bank reconciliations. The role ensures all transactions are processed completely, accurately and in line with established procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure accurate delivery of core transactional finance activities
  • Maintain the integrity of the purchase ledger, sales ledgers and cashbook within Sage 200
  • Act as the primary Finance contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare payment runs
  • Maintain cashbook postings
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Ensure all transactions are processed completely, accurately and in line with established procedures

Requirements

  • AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of transactional finance processes
  • Proven experience managing purchase ledger and high-volume processing
  • Confident posting cashbook transactions and preparing bank reconciliations
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Professional and responsive in dealing with suppliers and colleagues
  • Sage 200 experience desirable
  • Be over 18 years of age
