Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for relevant government authorities, managing all formal communications and relationship building
  • Prepare and submit bi-monthly Sales Tax and monthly Service Tax returns accurately and on time
  • Manage manufacturing compliance approvals, material return permits, and the preparation of monthly/quarterly Customs reports
  • Compile and submit mandatory statistical reports to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)
  • Assist with monthly account closing activities and perform comprehensive bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and reconcile all statutory-related payments to ensure no late-payment penalties or discrepancies
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to gather data for quarterly risk management reports and financial analysis

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a related field
  • Strong specialization in government compliance (Sales Tax/Customs Duty) and a solid foundation in accounting principles
  • Proficiency in SAP is highly advantageous
