Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a full-cycle Accountant or Bookkeeper
Background working in construction, landscaping, or other project-based/job-costing industries is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software is required

Job Responsibility

Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including AP, AR, Bank, Credit Card, and Prepaid reconciliations
Post daily entries accurately into the accounting system
Prepare and process weekly payroll
Prepare comprehensive month-end financial statements
Execute the year-end closing process, including preparing accrual journal entries and General Ledger account reconciliations
Prepare and file all required CRA returns, including HST, payroll taxes, EHT, and corporate taxes
Supervise the Account Receivables clerk and comfortably make direct calls to clients to collect overdue receivables
Complete other relevant accounting duties as assigned to support the team
