Working closely with the Partners of the firm, you will be responsible for assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of a busy solicitor's firm's finance department. The Accounts Assistant will support the finance function and work closely with the Legal Bookkeeper, assisting with daily accounting duties and maintaining accurate financial records.
Job Responsibility:
Process purchase invoices and supplier payments
Assist with sales invoicing and payment allocations
Reconcile bank accounts and manage petty cash
Maintain accurate ledgers and financial filing systems
Assist with month‑end tasks
Liaise with suppliers and internal teams as needed
Provide holiday cover for the Legal Bookkeeper
Requirements:
Previous accounts or finance administration experience
Strong Excel and numeracy skills
Experience using accounting software
Good communication and organisational abilities
High attention to detail
Nice to have:
Experience working in a professional services or legal environment
