We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support our Retail Centre Accountant, with a primary focus on the purchase ledger function. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a solid understanding of accounting processes, looking for consistent part-time hours.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and maintain purchase ledger, including invoice processing, supplier payments, and reconciliations
Post monthly prepayments, accruals, and assist with month-end processes
Support payroll preparation and maintain payroll/personnel records
Assist with financial reporting, stock reconciliations, and expense analysis
Provide general support to the Accountant and cover for other finance duties as required
Requirements:
Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts assistant role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good knowledge of accounting systems (Kerridge/Drive desirable)
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and willing to support wider finance tasks when needed
