Job Description:

Join our growing Finance team and play a key role in supporting our mission to decarbonise heating across the UK. We’re looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to provide essential support to our Finance team. This is a varied role where you’ll assist with day-to-day operations, month-end processes, and project cost reporting, helping us maintain accurate and timely financial records.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Finance team
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Group Financial Controller, Head of Accounts, and Management Accountant
  • Manage accounts receivable and provide cover for purchase ledger when required
  • Process credit card expenses via Access
  • Support Kensa Contracting project cost reporting
  • Assist with bringing ledgers up to trial balance stage at month end, including ledger analysis, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations

Requirements:

  • Ideally part-qualified AAT (Level 2 or Level 3) or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance role is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • experience with accounting software is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn
