A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics on a permanent basis for an Accounts Assistant, to support the Finance Team to support the purchase, sales and general ledger functions. The Accounts Assistant will play an integral part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining strong attention to detail, and supporting stakeholders across the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Accurately processing purchase and sales invoices in line with company procedures
Carrying out supplier and customer reconciliations
Supporting the maintenance of robust financial controls
Assisting with month-end activities by preparing supporting documentation, running system reports, and identifying discrepancies or anomalies for escalation
Monitoring key finance inboxes, responding promptly to internal and external queries, and supporting the resolution of invoice or payment issues
Contributing to continuous improvement within the finance department and providing general support
Requirements:
Qualified to AAT level or working towards the qualification
Sound knowledge of the monthly reporting process and nominal reporting structure
Previous experience of undertaking sales and purchase ledger administration, BACS, payments, credit control and financial administration
