Our client, a forward-thinking organisation, is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance team on a fixed-term contract basis for 3 months. Job Responsibility:
Processing Purchase Invoices: Liaise with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies, ensuring timely payments
Sales Invoicing: Raise and post sales invoices using Iplicit (our accounting software)
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while assisting with initial credit control. This includes reminding clients of overdue debts via phone and email before escalating any issues to the Management Accountant and Financial Controller
Expense Management: Process credit card transactions and staff expenses, ensuring they are reconciled and ready for payment
Bank Reconciliations: Conduct daily bank reconciliations, including for foreign accounts, to maintain accurate records
Payment Runs: Produce the weekly payment run report and enter payments in the banking system
Month-End Support: Assist the Management Accountant with month-end procedures to ensure everything is in order
Procurement Support: Help with procurement processes and customer onboarding as needed
General Administration: Carry out ad-hoc duties and tasks as required to support the finance team
Cashflow Forecasting: Contribute to short-term cashflow forecasting to help the organisation stay on track
Requirements:
A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience in a similar role or a strong understanding of accounts processes
Proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of Iplicit is a plus!)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build strong relationships
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
