Job Description

DUBLIN ZOO holds the prestigious position of being ‘Ireland’s leading Fee-Paying Family Attraction’ welcoming in excess of 1.2 million visitors each year. Our purpose is to save wildlife and inspire a passion for nature – one person, one family at a time. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and diligent Accounts Administrator to support the daily accounting function within the zoo as well the application of the weekly payroll.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and process the weekly payroll
  • Manage payroll-related bank payments and reconciliations
  • Support the month-end process as required
  • Ensure compliance with Revenue and handle payroll-related CSO returns
  • Maintain payroll-related accounts, including pension contributions, BIK, etc
  • Respond to payroll and accounts queries efficiently and confidentially
  • Process invoices and verifying their accuracy
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports
  • Ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers
  • Liaise with the accounting team to resolve payment discrepancies
  • Preparing account reconciliations
  • Resolve any discrepancies or queries with vendors promptly
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements and address any discrepancies
  • Process multiple company bank reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly management accounts and support month-end reporting
  • Provide general financial and administrative support as needed

Requirements

  • Proficiency in all aspects of PAYE Revenue reporting, to include RPN processes, Payroll and other payroll submissions
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Experience with a recognised IT system such as Bright Books, Sage or any other finance software is essential
  • Good Microsoft Office and Folder management skills are a must
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
