Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience to oversee the full accounting cycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. They will also be responsible for bank reconciliations and government remittances.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing the full accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
  • Performing bank reconciliations and monthly tax reports
  • Assisting with monthly and annual closings
  • Producing various financial reports and ensuring rigorous follow-up of accounting operations
  • Collaborating with the team on ERP implementation and optimizing accounting processes

Requirements:

  • Must qualify for a Government of Canada security clearance
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including management of the full accounting cycle
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills and strong team spirit
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • College diploma (DEC) in Accounting
