Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting, Tax & Statutory Lead to oversee VOIS Romania’s local accounting, statutory reporting, and tax compliance activities. This role ensures accurate financial representation, drives compliance with group and local regulations, and acts as the primary contact for auditors and authorities. With a blend of technical expertise and leadership, the individual will guide the Accounting & Tax team to meet VOIS Finance objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure fair and accurate representation of the balance sheet and P&L in line with Group Accounting guidelines
  • Oversee statutory and fiscal compliance in adherence with all local regulatory requirements
  • Act as the single point of contact for internal and external auditors, and collaborate with fiscal authorities
  • Deliver tax-related initiatives including VAT reimbursement, transfer pricing, tax exemptions, and state aid projects
  • Advocate for full adherence to fiscal rules and recommend enhancements to policies and processes to ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
  • Lead and develop the Accounting & Tax team, ensuring capability building, skills alignment, and individual development plans

Requirements

  • Experienced in a similar accounting and tax leadership role for a minimum of 2 years
  • Skilled in people management, empowering team performance and professional growth
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and confident decision-making
  • ACCA or CIMA qualification is considered an advantage
