Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Riverside, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a stable food distribution company by managing key accounting processes and supporting financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and excel in both technical and analytical tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and maintain general accounting activities, including ledger reconciliation and journal entries
  • Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Perform cost accounting tasks, including standard cost analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with the Controller on special accounting projects to enhance financial operations
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Utilize NetSuite software to streamline accounting processes and generate financial reports
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support audit and compliance activities by providing necessary documentation and reports

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in general accounting practices, including ledger management and journal entries
  • Experience with cost accounting and standard costing methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of NetSuite software for accounting purposes
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities
