Job Description:

This role is essential in overseeing accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the effective management of financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the aerospace manufacturing industry and a proven ability to lead and develop teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams, ensuring efficient operations and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company-specific accounting policies
  • Develop, implement, and refine systems, policies, and procedures to improve financial processes
  • Conduct thorough analysis of accounting systems, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions
  • Ensure internal controls are established and functioning effectively to safeguard financial data
  • Oversee the preparation, recording, and reporting of accounting transactions, including month-end and year-end closings
  • Manage the selection, training, and development of accounting staff to build a high-performing team
  • Review industry trends and updates to ensure alignment with best practices in accounts payable and receivable
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses
  • Monitor attendance and ensure punctuality while addressing variable schedules as necessary

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable within the aerospace manufacturing sector
  • At least 2-3 years of supervisory or team management experience
  • Strong understanding of standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database management tools
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial data and projections
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and task completion
  • Ability to train and develop subordinates in alignment with company policies and objectives
