Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual skilled in managing financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable. Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Lead audits and reconciliation efforts related to accounts payable, addressing any outstanding payment issues and providing timely reporting
  • Supervise and manage AP/AR staff, including performance evaluations, training, and setting team goals
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with external agencies and internal departments to resolve administrative and audit-related challenges
  • Provide guidance on reporting priorities for accounts payable and receivable, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Conduct team meetings to review procedures, address concerns, and promote employee growth
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to support performance management and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles
  • Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management
  • Experience with financial statement audits and account reconciliation
  • Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to address payment discrepancies and reporting challenges
