Job Description

Fast-Track Career Advancement Opportunity (This position is expected to advance quickly within the company over the next few months.)

Job Responsibility

  • Perform monthly close activities including but not limited to: Review account reconciliations for corporate close, fixed assets, and leases
  • Work directly with the corporate accountant and shared service center to manage/coordinate month end close
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account recs for the corporate general ledger
  • Field questions/support business unit finance leads with close and consolidation questions
  • Accounting responsibility for and/or involvement in the following areas: Share-based compensation, LIFO inventory, Self-insurance and worker compensation reserves, Leases, Fixed Assets
  • Ownership over the corporate ledger and the company’s topside ledgers
  • Focus on corporate controls to ensure proper compliance
  • Assist in coordinating and developing training materials for quarterly global accounting and finance updates
  • Participate in and support various process improvement initiatives, including fixed asset and lease process improvement

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably with public accounting experience
  • Knowledge of ERP and consolidation systems (company uses SL9 for corporate ERP and OneStream for consolidation)
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and internal controls
  • Experience with public companies and SEC reporting, experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter who seeks new challenges and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ability to learn quickly and willingness to dive into new areas
