Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This is a contract position designed for a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in accounts payable, benefits administration, and reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and is committed to producing accurate and reliable work.

Job Responsibility

  • Process benefit-related disbursements and maintain detailed records for compliance and accuracy
  • Manage vendor payments and expense reimbursements efficiently and in line with company policies
  • Create, update, and maintain accounts payable reports and files to ensure organized and accurate documentation
  • Offer training and guidance on policies and procedures, ensuring team members understand compliance requirements
  • Ensure adherence to regulations for Health Reimbursement Account and Cafeteria Plan reimbursements
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks
  • Meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-demand environment
  • Operate office equipment such as copiers, scanners, calculators, and computers proficiently
  • Occasionally move within the office to access files, equipment, and other resources as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • additional college coursework or an undergraduate degree is preferred
  • Minimum of three years of detail-oriented experience in accounting, particularly in accounts payable and benefits administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal accounting software such as Elite 3E
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative abilities
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
