Job Description:

An established, family-owned company is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its team during an exciting period of growth and system transformation. The company is modernizing its systems, including payroll, brokerage management software, and accounting platforms. You'll be part of a small accounting team that values collaboration and stability in a welcoming, supportive workplace culture with community-focused initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

Post customer transactions
Process vendor invoices
Handle monthly check runs
Manage daily deposits across multiple accounts
Support monthly bank reconciliations
Maintain files
Verify expense reports
Address discrepancies
Work through paper-driven and technology-supported processes
Integrating legacy systems into modern accounting platforms
Oversee financial tasks for a mix of entities with varying transaction levels

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for Accounting or related fields
Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting, including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliation
At least 1 year using systems like QuickBooks, Sage, or comparable accounting software
Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and office systems, including 10-key calculators
Dependable with strong organizational capabilities and confidentiality
Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced setting
