Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a long-term contract position that requires expertise in managing financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other key accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors
oversee accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collection activities
perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
handle billing functions and resolve discrepancies efficiently
prepare and analyze financial statements to support decision-making
utilize QuickBooks to maintain and process financial transactions effectively
collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and procedures
generate reports using Microsoft Excel to track financial performance
ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Requirements:

Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
solid experience with billing functions and account reconciliation
familiarity with QuickBooks for financial management
ability to prepare and interpret financial statements
advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
effective communication skills for collaboration and issue resolution.
