Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to support the financial operations of a confidential manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and exceptional analytical skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role is contract-to-hire and offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments
  • Manage customer invoicing, monitor collections, and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Assist with GL maintenance, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Monitor and analyze expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Utilize ERP software for financial data entry, reporting, and reconciliation to ensure system efficiency
  • Ensure financial and operational compliance with company policies, regulations, and auditing standards
  • Partner with other departments to resolve financial issues and support organizational goals
  • Prepare customized reports and analyses based on management requests

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience
  • prior experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus
  • Proficiency in ERP software, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.), and experience with accounting platforms
  • CPA or similar certifications are a plus but not required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills
