Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to support the financial operations of a confidential manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and exceptional analytical skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role is contract-to-hire and offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments
Manage customer invoicing, monitor collections, and follow up on overdue accounts
Assist with GL maintenance, including journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare accurate financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Monitor and analyze expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
Utilize ERP software for financial data entry, reporting, and reconciliation to ensure system efficiency
Ensure financial and operational compliance with company policies, regulations, and auditing standards
Partner with other departments to resolve financial issues and support organizational goals
Prepare customized reports and analyses based on management requests

Requirements:

Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience
prior experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus
Proficiency in ERP software, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.), and experience with accounting platforms
CPA or similar certifications are a plus but not required
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance standards
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills
