We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Addison, Texas. In this role, you will oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensure accurate financial recordkeeping, and contribute to the financial stability of the organization. This is a contract-to-permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to work on-site and make a meaningful impact on the company's financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Process accounts payable transactions, including coding vendor invoices, securing approvals, and maintaining accurate records
Manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices, applying customer payments, and ensuring timely deposits
Perform reconciliations for credit card purchases, vendor statements, and general ledger accounts
Handle expense reports, petty cash, and office supply orders while monitoring cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate with vendors and customers to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain positive relationships
Support annual financial tasks such as issuing 1099 forms and preparing for audits
Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights through ad hoc reporting and analysis
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all accounting processes
Assist with payroll and troubleshoot day-to-day accounting challenges
Work with external auditors and tax professionals to maintain financial integrity
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of detail-oriented accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills
Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliation processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with teams and external parties
Knowledge of financial regulations and the ability to uphold compliance standards
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
