Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Buxton, Maine. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to support vital financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, reviewing payment schedules, and ensuring timely vendor payments
Handle accounts receivable tasks, including generating invoices and tracking incoming payments
Oversee billing functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Process payroll accurately and in accordance with established schedules
Utilize QuickBooks for tracking and managing financial data
Assist in maintaining general accounting functions to support daily business operations
Prepare financial reports and summaries to inform decision-making processes
Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in accounting workflows

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Familiarity with billing functions and payroll administration
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong understanding of account reconciliation and general accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
