We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Woodbridge, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting overall accounting operations. Job Responsibility:
Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments
Oversee accounts receivable tasks such as invoicing and monitoring incoming payments
Perform reconciliation of accounts to maintain accurate financial records
Handle cash posting activities to ensure proper allocation of funds
Collaborate with internal teams to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Utilize NetSuite to manage and track financial data efficiently
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making processes
Assist in streamlining accounting procedures to improve overall efficiency
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Proficiency in invoice processing and cash posting activities
Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
