Responsible for supporting accounting functions and inventory control for Circle K’s sandwich manufacturing facility and Alaska Bakery. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cost accounting functions, maintaining inventory accuracy, and investigating inventory variances and operational discrepancies. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing accounting or inventory control, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with production, warehouse, procurement, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse, production, and off-site storage locations
Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and transaction timing issues
Coordinate and support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory adjustment processes
Monitor inventory transactions and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy within the ERP system
Support production reporting by validating ingredient usage, finished goods reporting, waste tracking, and inventory movements
Assist with purchase order tracking, receiving verification, and inventory movement documentation
Work closely with warehouse, procurement, transportation, and production teams to resolve inventory and operational issues
Track and report key inventory and operational performance indicators (KPIs)
Assist with monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential inventory risks or shortages
Identify process improvement opportunities related to inventory control and operational efficiencies
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with cost accounting, including tracking raw materials, labor, and production costs
Monitor inventory valuation and support inventory-related accounting activities
Partner with operations to analyze production variances, waste, and efficiencies
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes as needed
Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls
Assist with financial and inventory audits
Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements
Update vendor information and assist with other accounting activities as needed
Requirements
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
High school diploma required
1–3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, food manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred
Equivalent work experience may substitute for education
Nice to have
Working knowledge of ERP systems
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field preferred
