We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Coconut Creek, Florida. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a manufacturing company by managing payments, customer accounts, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Job Responsibility:
Process customer payments promptly and accurately to maintain financial records
Enter vendor payments into the system and ensure timely processing
Oversee and manage sales tax exemption certificates to ensure compliance
Conduct collection calls to resolve outstanding balances and improve cash flow
Run credit reports on customers to assess financial reliability and manage risks
Set up new customer accounts efficiently, ensuring all required information is recorded
Extract daily transaction data from banking applications for reconciliation purposes
Post customer credits and debits where applicable to maintain accurate account balances
Requirements:
Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Proficiency in handling billing functions and account reconciliation
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Solid communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors
Familiarity with financial software and banking applications
Knowledge of sales tax exemptions and compliance
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
