Job Description:

IKEA is seeking an Accounting & Reporting Specialist to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, maintain strong accounting standards, and collaborate across functions within the Ingka Group. The role involves reconciliations, analytical reviews, journal entries, and participation in global projects aimed at simplifying financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of all financial reports, following INGKA Group rules, local GAAP, and other relevant regulations
  • Maintain high-quality accounting and reporting standards to support business decision-making and compliance
  • Handle various reconciliations, perform analytical reviews, and maintain strong internal controls
  • Process financial data accurately and on time, working with SAP as part of the accounting framework
  • Work closely with Group and Country teams to reduce differences between global standards and local business needs, ensuring efficient ways of working
  • Participate in global projects and support their local implementation to simplify, standardize, and automate financial processes and reporting
  • Collaborate with business areas, group functions, and process teams within Ingka Group

Requirements:

  • Formal education in Accounting, ideally a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience in similar or larger organizations
  • Strong experience with SAP systems
  • Experience working with Shared Service Centers and the ability to foster effective collaboration across locations
  • A solid tax background – confident in managing compliance and complex tax matters
  • Proven skills in reconciliations, analytical reviews, journal entries, and maintaining strong internal controls
  • Great attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
  • A natural ability to build trustful relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different teams and functions
  • Experience in the retail sector
  • Fluency in English – both spoken and written
