Job Description:

Accounting Professional – Experienced assists with fulfilling company accounting requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinates the general ledger activity and makes all journal entries
  • Account for fixed asset and capital project systems to ensure that complete and accurate property records are provided monthly
  • Update the capital budgeting system with changes in timing and amounts, prepare monthly capital request for submission and assist in preparation of capital expenditures authority requests
  • Assists in preparing monthly profit forecast for the mine and prepare operating and capital budgets
  • Prepare account reconciliations, review costs for completeness, and evaluate reasonableness of balances to research and proactively resolve errors or reconciling items
  • Prepare cost variance analyses and promote cost controls and efficiency in conduct of business
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with site personnel to ensure accurate reporting of costs
  • Become involved as a backup to various functions in the finance and payroll area
  • Review payroll related financial transactions
  • Recognize and communicate potential issues to the team leader
  • Any other responsibility as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2 years of relevant professional experience required
  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required
  • Exercise sound judgement to determine and apply GAAP to business situations
  • Self motivated individual who acts with integrity and strength of character
