Job Description:

This position will be the core of accounting operations, providing back-end support for the business of a global company's Japanese subsidiary, which operates internationally. Utilizing a core ERP system and related systems, you will work as part of a team on a wide range of accounting operations, including daily, weekly, and monthly accounting work, quarterly and annual accounting and tax settlements for Japan alone and consolidated settlements with the parent company.

Job Responsibility:

  • General daily accounting work covering cash and deposit management, accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, credit management, provisional payments and prepaid expenses management, payment preparation and management, employee travel and expense management
  • Budget and actual management support
  • Monthly and quarterly settlement of accounts
  • Tax response, tax return (domestic single and consolidated tax)
  • Accounting audit and tax audit response
  • Internal audit response

Requirements:

  • Experience working at an auditing firm or accounting experience at a global listed company (experience based on international accounting standards is preferred)
  • High verbal and written communication skills to communicate in English with internal and external counterparts
  • Professional accounting certification holder or exam passer (including only passing some subjects), or equivalent practical experience and knowledge
  • Experience in establishing and operating internal controls (experience in relevant compliance frameworks is preferred)
