Accounting Manager

• Oversee daily accounting functions by managing ledger activity, preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, and guiding month-end and year-end close activities
• Produce timely and reliable financial reports while ensuring alignment with governmental accounting requirements, organizational policies, and established internal controls
• Review financial results, investigate discrepancies, and recommend practical improvements that enhance accuracy and streamline accounting operations
• Support budget-to-actual analysis, assist with audit preparation, and help meet regulatory and grant-related reporting obligations as needed
• Collaborate with finance leaders and operational teams to determine appropriate accounting treatment for transactions, projects, and other business activities
• Use Oracle Fusion to record transactions, maintain financial data, generate reporting, and support accounting-related system processes
• Contribute to the development of stronger internal controls by documenting procedures and participating in process improvement efforts across the accounting function

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within government, public sector, or another complex organizational environment
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion
• Background working in a large-scale, multi-entity, or enterprise-level accounting setting is strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, and internal control practices
• Proficiency in month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entry preparation, and account analysis
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
• Certification such as CPA or a similar credential is a plus
