The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and optimization of accounting systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant financial operations. This role performs and reviews of complex journal entries, of complex balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses in alignment with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies. They design and enhance business processes, leveraging automation, analytics, and digital tools to improve workflow efficiency and support evolving organizational needs. With a deep understanding of transactional data flow across large complex ERP systems and related sub-modules, the Accounting Manager ensures data integrity, system accuracy, and reliable financial results across complex operational environments. Deep understanding on SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) IT and operational controls and advance knowledge of writing and updating SOX controls workflows and narratives. This role also supports international accounting activities, including annual statutory audits, and coordinates with third-party accountants, external auditors, and the T-Mobile tax team to ensure compliance with local and global reporting requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) within their accounting area, applying advanced technical, system, and business knowledge to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
Leads analysis and interpretation of financial data, identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes through data-driven insights
Demonstrates deep understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and integrated financial systems
Provides mentorship and technical guidance to Accountants and Senior Accountants
Supports a variety of special projects and business initiatives as assigned by management
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
Acceptable areas of study include Accounting, Finance or related field
