Job Description

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the corporate accounting department, ensuring all corporate financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Monitor, compile, and analyze detailed cash flow reports, compiling historical cash flows and forecasting future cash requirements to ensure optimal liquidity for the organization’s operations. This includes analyzing cash flow trends, predicting future cash needs, and advising on cash management strategies. Oversee income tax preparations for multiple entities, ensuring timely filing, compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and advise on tax strategies and implications of business decisions. This involves staying updated on tax laws and coordination with our external tax preparers and advisors. Review and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports, which are essential for strategic planning and decision-making. Enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to ensure that all financial activities align with legal standards and company policies. Monitor systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department, if necessary. Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy, providing guidance and leadership to the accounting team. Maintain treasury management relationships and administer banking activity including account maintenance and ensuring compliance with banking requirements.

Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Bring approximately 5-7 years of robust experience in accounting management, with a preference for candidates with a background in real estate
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and complete projects and priorities within agreed-upon deadlines
  • Consistently produce high-quality, accurate deliverables
  • Show proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft products
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team framework
  • Have strong written and oral communication skills.
